About Steve

I would like to introduce myself

My name is Steve Holcomb, and my wife is Veronica Holcomb. We attend First Baptist Church of Powell.

I am starting this page to invite everyone to join me in a bible prophecy study. In this study, we are going to examine the second coming of Christ and the rapture. I would like for us to take a look at what the Bible tells us about what is happening now and also in future events.

The Bible goes into great detail about the second coming of Christ and the rapture, but many people are very confused. There are so many different teachings about this subject, so we are going to examine what God’s Word says and see if we can come to an understanding of what He has revealed to us through His Word.

As we explore through the prophecies of the bible, I realize that there are many people who are not Christians that may see this study. I just ask you to look at the possibilities of God’s Word. A question that we have to ask ourselves, is, are all the prophecies in the Bible just coincidences, or is God trying to tell us something? The Bible teaches us that the just shall live by faith, but Jesus also says that He is going to tell us these things before they happen, so when they do happen, you know that He is faithful and true.

I know that there will be a lot of believers that will also be seeing this study, so I ask you to examine the scriptures with me about His second coming and the rapture. I don’t mind if people disagree with me, but I would appreciate any objections to be backed up with scripture... not just opinions. Let’s not be as the Pharisees, during Jesus’s first appearance on earth. He told them that they could discern the skies, but not the signs of the times.

As we look at this topic together, hopefully we can learn truth from His Word on the subject of end time events and the sovereignty of God. We don’t always agree on the details of this subject, but it’s okay we do know that Jesus is coming back for us!! Amen
