2 Thessalonians 2:1 says,
Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together (the rapture) unto Him.
2 Thessalonians 2:1
Verse 3...
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the rapture) shall not come, except there be a falling away first and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2 Thessalonians 2:3
We can see a great falling away in the time that we live in. Is this partly because of all the different bible translations? Satan is using this to cast doubt in people’s minds concerning the Word of God. Which one can be trusted? Is it just a coincidence that our country really started to take a downward spiral when all the new translations came out and our country started taking God out of everything? And not just in our country but all over the world more now than ever. What’s going on behind the scenes that we don’t see? Remember, the bible tells us in Matthew 24:24,
For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matthew 24:24
Are we deceived into thinking that all these new translations are really the true word of God? Why do we need so many? How many times can you change the word of God and it still mean the same thing? Who’s putting all these translations out there, and for what reason? Confusion? Money? We can sure see a lot of confusion coming out of this... and our God is not a God of confusion.
Godly men, Pastors, Sunday School teachers and Missionaries are all men and women that can easily be deceived. Adam and Eve walked with God everyday, and yet Satan still deceived them. Peter was a disciple of Jesus... but Jesus told him in Matthew 16:23,
But he turned, and said unto Peter, get thee behind me Satan: thou art an offense unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.
Matthew 16:23
I bet Peter was stunned at this statement. I believe that many true Christians are deceived into letting the devil work through them at times without even knowing it. Peter would not have known that he was being used of Satan unless Jesus told him so. Satan uses a lot of these different translations to cast doubt on the word of God.
We need to be careful with most all of these newer translations of the bible. Most of them are very cleverly deceptive and have a lot of missing information or changed meanings. It’s still the word of God, but changed. Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44)! By leaving out words and changing others, it changes the true meaning of what God is saying. The Antichrist, Satan and the False Prophet are going to take control over this world soon. The spirit of the Antichrist is already in the world getting it ready for the control of Satan.
We need to ask ourselves, where, or better yet, who are these translations coming from? Satan loves the fact that everybody argues about which translation should be taught from. Remember, Satan’s twisting of God’s words caused Eve to doubt what God said. Thus, sin entered the world. Satan told her that she could be as God, knowing good and evil.
Most of the new translations come from the Codex Sinaiticus and Vaticanus. The very word “Vatican” should make you think twice. Let’s look at the deception portrayed in some newer translations... 1 John 5:7-8, verse 7 is completely taken out and verse 8 is split into two verses. One of the newer versions (NASB) of verse 7 says,
For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
1 John 5:7 (NASB)
What?! There is no understanding of what was just said. Now, listen to the King James Version of 1 John 5:7-8;
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1 John 5:7-8 (KJV)
Why is so much information left out of these verses and many others? Obviously, this is referring to the Trinity, which is crystal clear in the KJV version, but clear as mud in the other. The NASB also says in Mark 10:24,
...Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!
Mark 10:24 (NASB)
It’s not hard at all to enter the Kingdom of God, because it’s a free gift for those who believe in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8)... but it is hard for those who put their trust in riches. Another discrepancy the verse in 1 Kings 19:12,
After the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.
1 Kings 19:12 (NASB)
The KJV says, “...after the fire a still small voice.” There’s a big difference between the hearing of wind and the voice of God! There are so many other verses that can’t fit in this post.
Dr. Frank Logsdon says that he was the co-founder of the NASB, and he quotes,
I must under God denounce every attachment to the new version, I’m afraid I’m in trouble the Lord... we laid the groundwork; I wrote the format; I helped interview some of the translators; I sat with the translator; I wrote the preface. When you see the preface to the new translation, those are my words... it’s wrong, it’s terribly wrong; it’s frightfully wrong... I’m in trouble... I can no longer ignore these criticisms I’m hearing and I can’t refute them. The deletions are absolutely frightening... there are so many. The finest leaders that we have today haven’t gone into it (new versions of Horton Westcott’s corrupt Greek text) just as I hadn’t gone into it... that’s how easily one can be deceived... are we so naive that we do not suspect satanic deception is in all of this?
Dr. Frank Logsdon
That was the direct quote from Dr. Frank Logsdon himself. Please look this up yourselves on YouTube and listen to his sermon. Shouldn’t we do more investigating into these newer translations? Since the Garden of Eden when Satan said to Eve, “Did God really say?” Satan has been corrupting the words of God to deceive us. It’s interesting how every translation of the bible has a copyright on it... except the KJV. You can copy, print or however you want to share it.
I personally study and teach from the King James Version... but let me give all the “KJV” people a stern word of warning from God! 1 Corinthians 13:2 says,
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:2
This verse just warned us that we can have all these things, but without love, we have nothing. There are a lot of KJV only people that are very mean and insensitive and are without love for others. The other translations are still the word of God... it’s that after doing research, I personally believe that a lot of information is left out. Satan knows that he can’t completely take away the bible, but he can change it up. So, we need to be very understanding and loving toward our brothers in Christ who may read a different translation.
Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up.
1 Corinthians 13:4
For all the KJV people out there... we need to watch our attitudes and show God’s love.
