End Times Prophecy and the Battle of Armageddon
About this episode
Steve joins Philip Cameron on Daily Faith to lay out the end times timeline, starting from the one point he says never changes: the Battle of Armageddon, when Jesus returns with His saints and Satan is chained for 1,000 years.
Count back 42 months from Armageddon and you reach the middle of a seven-year covenant, the abomination of desolation and the start of the Great Tribulation. Steve explains why he is "100% pre-Great Tribulation Rapture", why the rebuilding of the Third Temple is the sign to watch, and why he believes we are living in the sixth trumpet era now.

Common questions
When does Steve Holcomb believe the Rapture will happen?
He is "100% pre-Great Tribulation Rapture". He believes the Church is caught up the day a world leader stands in the rebuilt Third Temple claiming to be the Messiah, as Luke 17 says: "in that night" one is taken and the other left.
How does the Battle of Armageddon fit the timeline?
It is the fixed end point: Jesus returns with His saints and Satan is chained for 1,000 years. Count back 42 months and you reach the middle of the seven-year covenant, where the Great Tribulation begins. The three and a half years before that look like peace.
Is "seven-year tribulation period" in the Bible?
No. Steve points out the Bible describes a covenant confirmed with the many for seven years, and says whoever signs that covenant will be the Antichrist.
What does the sixth trumpet have to do with today?
Steve believes we are in the sixth trumpet era, when the angels bound in the river Euphrates are loosed and a war kills a third of mankind. He points to the Euphrates drying up and governments telling people to prepare.
Where does Steve think the Third Temple will be built?
He says he could be wrong, but he believes just north of the Dome of the Rock, so the Temple Mount is shared. In Isaiah 14 Satan says he will sit "in the sides of the north", and Revelation 11 leaves the outer court to the Gentiles.

Steve's part of the episode, from Daily Faith's automatic transcript, so expect some misheard words and the odd line given to the wrong speaker. The video is the true record.
12:38 Philip: Steve, thank you for coming with me today again.
12:41 Steve Holcomb: I appreciate you so much, my brother.
12:43 Philip: Tell us - I'm watching the news.
12:45 Steve Holcomb: Mm-hmm.
12:46 Philip: Watching the news is like reading the Bible these days.
12:48 Steve Holcomb: Right. Right.
12:49 Philip: Because there are so many moving parts of this thing. Tell us the Israeli thing that's just happened, even the election is just - everything is up in the air. It seems like there's endless turmoil in the earth.
12:59 Steve Holcomb: That's for a purpose. Right. Yeah, and today everything is just, like I say, out of hand and everything, and Islamic countries trying to take control over the whole world. Sure. And they said that Islam will be in every household. That's what they said. I've heard them.
13:11 Philip: And we are not supposed to have a faith that interlocks with all faiths.
13:15 Steve Holcomb: No. Jesus was very, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." No one else - no way to get to the Father except through Him.
13:24 Philip: Correct. You can't have all these faiths living together. So the church has really become weak, and it's like, oh, well, we can tolerate this faith, or we can tolerate that.
13:35 Steve Holcomb: Did you see the pope the other day in the Vatican?
13:38 Philip: No.
13:39 Steve Holcomb: And there was all different faiths there.
13:41 Philip: Oh, yeah.
13:42 Steve Holcomb: And he did not one time refer to the Christian faith and Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior. The pope.
13:49 Philip: Yeah. And I'm thinking, my God, if the pope can't speak about it, we are in real trouble.
13:55 Steve Holcomb: Yeah. And the next time I come in, we're going to talk about the four horsemen, which is the spirits and why people do what they do.
14:02 Philip: I can't wait to hear that. But today, you'd mentioned before that the governments of the world are preparing their people, saying, "You need to be ready for a major war."
14:12 Steve Holcomb: Well, the Bible prophesies - okay, we're going to start at the Battle of Armageddon. Okay. So we know that Jesus comes back at the Battle of Armageddon with his saints, and he chains up Satan for 1,000 years. Okay. Well, if you back up three and a half years, the Bible says that Satan only has 42 months - time, times, and half a time - to do what he's got to do.
14:47 Steve Holcomb: So if you're at the Battle of Armageddon and you back up three and a half years, that's in the middle of a seven-year - what people call a tribulation period - but it's actually a covenant signed with the many. Okay, so if we know that, what people don't understand is whether we're raptured up seven years prior to the Battle of Armageddon or three and a half years prior to the Battle of Armageddon - the stage had to be set for the Battle of Armageddon. The endpoint is the Battle of Armageddon. This does not change. That's the endpoint.
15:18 Steve Holcomb: So we know that everyone else can argue between the mid and the pre, but Armageddon's going to happen. It'll happen at this point. Okay, now, if you go with what the Bible says and you go backwards, we know that Satan's going to indwell this antichrist body, the world leaders claiming to be the antichrist. Well, the Bible says he only has 42 months to continue what he's got to do. So that's the last part of that seven-year tribulation period. What people call tribulation period - the Bible never even calls it a seven-year tribulation period. The Bible says that it's going to be a covenant signed with the many for seven years.
15:55 Steve Holcomb: So we know ultimately that whoever signs that covenant will be the antichrist. Sure. But the Bible talks about if it were possible, this man would be able to deceive the very elect. Well, the elect's got to be here for him to deceive them. But Jesus himself tells it. Now, I am 100% pre-Great Tribulation Rapture. We won't be here. God has not appointed us to wrath, but has attained us through his salvation. So if you go with what Jesus said, Jesus says, "When you see the abomination of desolation spoken about by the Prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place where he ought not, for then shall Great Tribulation happen as never was before and never will be again."
16:29 Steve Holcomb: Well, that's a three-and-a-half-year period. I truly believe that we are raptured up - and I can show you from the Bible - the day that that world leader stands in that Jewish rebuilt temple claiming to be the Messiah. Now, he comes claiming to be the Son of God. In the Book of Luke 17, it says, "I tell you, the day that the Son of Man is revealed, those who be on the housetop don't come back to get anything. Those be in the field don't come back in. For then..." That's when the Great Tribulation. He says, "I tell you, that night one shall be taken and one shall be left."
17:02 Steve Holcomb: Now, I can't tell you the day or the hour that that world leader will stand in that Jewish rebuilt temple claiming to be the Messiah. But when you see the temple being built, you know it's on its way. We've got to be wise to see and read this. Jesus said this.
17:18 Steve Holcomb: And so we don't know the day Jesus is coming, but we do know if they start building the temple, then we're on the way to the moment. We might not be able to tell you the hour at 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, but when that temple starts being put together, and all the red heifers and all the stuff starts being assembled - and it's being assembled now - that's all happening as we're talking.
17:34 Steve Holcomb: So, okay. For the Battle of Armageddon, we come back three and a half years. We know that that's the Great Tribulation period. So the Bible says, "For yourselves know perfectly that the day the Lord comes as a thief in the night" - when, he's telling us when - "they say, 'Peace and safety,' then sudden destruction comes upon them." Well, when does that happen? At the Battle of Armageddon. That first three and a half years is going to be a time of peace. Israel's going to be able to rebuild their third temple.
18:07 Steve Holcomb: They're going to do the animal sacrifices again, and all this stuff, and they're going to say, "Finally, we have peace and safety." Jesus said when they say that, that's when sudden destruction's going to come upon them, and they shall not escape. So that happens when this world leader stands in that temple claiming to be the Messiah.
18:23 Steve Holcomb: Wow. In 2 Thessalonians, he says, "Now we beseech you, brethren" - that's the Christian people - "by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him. Be not soon shaken in mind or troubled as letter from us as the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day will not happen until there come a falling away first and a man of sin be revealed" - "the son of perdition," that'll be Satan - "who exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he," Satan, "as God, sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."
18:59 Steve Holcomb: So all of this stuff - so he comes as a thief when they say peace and safety. When do they say peace and safety? After a seven-year covenant is signed. They have no more war right now. As a matter of fact, in the Book of Luke, it says when you see all the armies compass around Jerusalem, you know that the desolation is near.
19:17 Steve Holcomb: Well, what are we seeing in the news right now? Israel's fighting on seven fronts. All over the place. Prior to 1948, that couldn't happen. So 2,000 years people have been looking for the return of Jesus Christ, but He wasn't going to return because, for one thing, His word - every jot and tittle will happen exactly the way it's written. Now, we may not understand all the prophecy. We may have looked for Jesus' return, but He wasn't going to return until all of these things that is written in his book.
19:35 Steve Holcomb: We have more sure of a prophecy, the written word of God. It will not change. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my word will never change. So if it's written in that, it's going to happen exactly the way it's written.
19:52 Philip: I was watching the other day - I think it was a CBN production - and they've discovered the gateway, the road up to the temple where Jesus walked and all that stuff. And it's been hidden since David's time. And the pool that they washed in. And yes, the Pool of Siloam was there. And all of a sudden, things that have been hidden for millennia suddenly are coming up, and they're talking about now maybe the temple can be built there, but it can't be built here because this is... And I'm watching this and I'm thinking, "Oh my goodness, they are making room for this temple to be built in a way that the Islamists can't stop."
20:43 Philip: And even stuff like that is all pointing towards the temple being built. And once that temple's built, then the man of sin appears.
20:46 Steve Holcomb: Yeah. And I truly believe that temple will be built just... And I could be wrong on this, but I think in a way of what the Bible looks like, it points to - in the sixth trumpet era, it says measure the temple and the altar, but leave out the outer gates, for it's going to be trodden down by the Gentiles. I believe that the temple will be built just north of the Dome of the Rock.
21:15 Steve Holcomb: In Isaiah, Satan says he sits in a congregation of the north, on the northern side. So that would fulfill perfectly that the temple mount will be shared. Satan's going to sit on the northern part, claiming to be the Messiah. That's in Isaiah 14. So, okay, so we're at the Battle of Armageddon. We know when the Great Tribulation starts. This happens during the seventh trumpet era in the Book of Revelation. Okay, well, what goes on before the seventh trumpet happens? The sixth trumpet. Go back and read what happens in the sixth trumpet era. There's going to be a war that kills a third part of mankind.
21:46 Steve Holcomb: A third part of mankind's going to die. And we know that from the prophecies that we're living in that time where all this stuff is being fulfilled right now. And what are the governments of the world trying to tell us now? Everybody prepare. There's something coming. Jesus told us, be prepared.
22:02 Steve Holcomb: So we're living in the sixth trumpet era right now where through the Euphrates River, it's going to be dried up. The angels are loosed to make war. And it is drying up. And it's a Muslim country. All the way through the Euphrates River, it's all Muslim, Islamic countries.
22:18 Steve Holcomb: And the Bible - we're going to talk about this the next time we come back, about the four horsemen and the spirits that are poured out upon the earth. But right now, it looks like we're entering into that time where a third part of mankind's fixing to die. And the Bible talks about after that, there will be a covenant signed with the many for seven years. Something catastrophic has got to happen for everybody to sign a covenant. So it's like, look, we're fixing to destroy ourselves. We can't do this no more. We're going to have to sign this covenant, and then it's going to look like peace for that three and a half years.
